Australian dressage riders Lyndal Oatley, Rachel Sanna & Mary Hanna have made sure that there is a place for an Aussie dressage team amongst the 11 nations now set to start at the Olympic Games in London next year.  Now all Aussie dressage fans can breathe a massive sigh of relief and start thinking about your best Aussie outfit to pack in your suitcase, should you be lucky enough to be heading over to the Olympics!

It was a bizarre qualifying process with two rounds being run on opposite sides of the globe within a week and the same panel of judges flying between both.  Our three Aussie riders had their work cut out for them, especially as the scores of the 4th rider for the team (Chantal Wigan) meant that the pressure was really on for both our riders in the Netherlands.  But both Lyndal & Mary rose to the occasion and not only produced super dressage tests, they officially kicked some butts and with Rachel's score from Sydney, ensured that they gained the Olympic start for an Aussie team.  From here on in, things will get interesting as the lead up to London will see the selectors having to make a big decision on who will make up the three membered team and who will be the individual starter.  But for the time being Lyndal, Rachel & Mary can all relax and enjoy their success.
